How Come?

when somebody hits a deer...nobody inquires as to the health of the poor deer?

You would think the poor deer hit the car on purpose the way people act sometimes. One time when our car was broken down over Christmas my father-in-law came to get us on Christmas Eve. He accidentally hit a deer on his way to get us. Fortunately he was not hurt and the damage to the car was minor.

When we got back to their house and he told my mother-in-law she was so furious that she locked herself in the bedroom and didn't come out for the rest of the evening. In their home the main Christmas holiday was on Christmas Eve. All the family was there, celebrating Christmas, but she refused to celebrate.

The car was fixed soon after Christmas.

A few weeks after that "SHE" hit a deer. The damage to the car was tremendous. She was fine. No one threw a tantrum on her either.
