I received a copy of my bill for labwork that I had done at the first of the month. I think it is a good thing they started sending us copies of the bills because they weren't doing that before. Now I know what they are charging medicare and medicaid for.
The bill for bloodwork was $440.00. This seems outrageous. I paid for the same bloodwork at a healthfair last year and it cost me $40.00.
A couple months ago I had to go to the ER for a problem I was having that my doctor let get out of hand. The bill for that was $2,600.00. She did a pelvic exam and cultures and bloodwork. I was there for about 4 hours.
